Refund policy

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy

Effective Date: 31 August 2026

All sales made by Leung Tim Choppers Factory are final.

We do not offer returns, refunds or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect product selection, preference regarding size or weight, or where a customer no longer wants the item after purchase.

Please review all product descriptions, dimensions, weights, materials and intended uses carefully before placing your order.

1. No Change-of-Mind Returns or Exchanges

We do not accept returns or exchanges because:

  • you changed your mind;
  • you selected the wrong product or size;
  • the product feels heavier or lighter than expected;
  • you prefer a different blade shape, handle or material;
  • you ordered the wrong quantity; or
  • you no longer require the item.

Please contact us before ordering if you are unsure which knife is suitable for your intended use.

2. Damaged, Incorrect or Defective Items

Please inspect your order as soon as it is delivered.

If you receive an incorrect item, or believe that your product arrived damaged or has a genuine manufacturing defect, please contact us promptly at info@leungtimchoppers.com.

Please include:

  • your order number;
  • a clear description of the issue;
  • photographs of the product;
  • photographs of the packaging where relevant; and
  • photographs of the shipping label if the parcel was damaged in transit.

We will review each case individually.

Where required by applicable consumer law, an appropriate remedy may be provided.

3. Traditional Manufacturing & Product Variations

Many Leung Tim products are produced using traditional manufacturing methods.

As a result, individual products may vary slightly in:

  • weight;
  • dimensions;
  • blade profile;
  • blade finish;
  • polishing and grind marks;
  • engraving or stamped markings;
  • wooden handle grain, colour and finish; and
  • general appearance.

Product measurements and weights shown on our website should therefore be regarded as approximate unless expressly stated otherwise.

Minor variations are part of the character of traditionally manufactured products and are not considered defects where they do not materially affect the intended function of the product.

4. Carbon Steel, Patina & Rust

Carbon steel naturally reacts with moisture, food and acids.

The development of a patina, staining or colour change during normal use is expected and is not considered a defect.

Carbon steel can rust if left wet, stored while damp or otherwise inadequately maintained.

Rust, corrosion, staining or discolouration resulting from use, moisture exposure or improper care is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Carbon steel knives should be hand washed, dried thoroughly immediately after use and lightly oiled when appropriate.

5. Damage From Use or Improper Care

Damage resulting from misuse, accidents, improper maintenance or use of a knife for a task for which it was not designed is not considered a manufacturing defect.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • rust or corrosion;
  • dishwasher use;
  • soaking in water;
  • dropping or impact damage;
  • improper storage;
  • improper sharpening or grinding;
  • twisting or applying excessive lateral force to the blade;
  • cutting frozen foods or inappropriate hard materials;
  • using a slicing knife on bones;
  • chips caused by striking materials beyond the knife's intended use; or
  • modification of the knife after purchase.

Please refer to the product description and our Knife Guide for the intended use of each knife.

6. Wooden & Iron Handles

Wood is a natural material. Variations in grain, colour and texture are normal and are not considered defects.

Wooden handles should not be soaked or placed in a dishwasher.

Traditional iron handles may naturally develop surface oxidation if exposed to moisture and should be thoroughly dried after use.

Normal changes resulting from age, use or inadequate care are not considered manufacturing defects.

7. Order Cancellations

If you need to correct or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible before dispatch.

We may be able to change or cancel an order that has not yet been prepared or dispatched, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled.

8. Shipping Damage

If your parcel appears damaged upon arrival, please photograph the package before discarding any packaging.

Contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order details and photographs so that we can assess the issue and, where appropriate, raise a claim with the postal or courier service.

Please retain the product and all original packaging until we advise otherwise.

9. International Orders

International customers are responsible for checking that the products they order can legally be imported and possessed in their destination.

Customs duties, import taxes, GST/VAT, clearance fees and other destination charges are not refundable by Leung Tim Choppers Factory unless required by applicable law.

An order being delayed, refused or returned by customs does not automatically qualify for a refund.

10. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Our no-return and no-exchange policy applies primarily to change-of-mind purchases. Where goods are genuinely defective, materially not as described, incorrectly supplied, or where another mandatory legal remedy applies, we will deal with the matter in accordance with applicable law.
